Seton Academy Campus Ministry
Utilizes students to act as ministers in a number of capacities. They act as lectors and prayer leaders throughout the year during our Liturgies and Masses as well as during Homeroom. They are also group leaders (peer ministers) during Freshmen and Sophomore retreats and special retreats throughout the year. Ministry formation will be ongoing throughout the entire academic year. Moderator: Deacon Jim Renwick

Campus Ministry Goals:

  • To develop a community of faith, compassion and justice based on the Gospels of Jesus Christ.
  • To develop the total spiritual growth of all students, faculty, administration, and staff by following Catholic Christian traditions and teachings.
  • To create a Catholic Christian environment in the school and all school functions.
  • To encourage the actions of the Gospel by promoting a Catholic Christian service program.
  • To empower our students, faculty, administration, and staff to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Plan for implementing Ministry goals:

  • Prayer is the way Seton ACademy will better develop her relationship with God. AT the beginning of each homeroom the entire school will pause for scripture, reflection, and prayer. Every class period will begin with a prayer led by teachers or students.
  • Worship as an all school liturgy will be celebrated every month with theme relating to the liturgical year of the Church. Division and classroom liturgies will also be celebrated.
  • Retreats will allow the student the experience of growing ever closer to God. The themes for the retreats are as follows; freshman - sowing the seed of faith, sophomore - nurturing the seed of faith, and juniors - harvesting our Catholic Christian faith. The senior retreat theme is walking anew path with Jesus. the juniors and seniors also have the opportunity to participate in a Kairos retreat.
  • Student campus ministers will participate in ongoing ministry formation, preparing them for all ministry.
  • All students are required to participate in our Catholic Christian service program.
  • Pastoral care and direction are available through the Seton Campus ministry department.
