  • How is Seton Academy's curriculum different from other high schools?
    Seton Academy students must complete 24 credit hours in order to graduate. These credits can be earned through college prep, honors, and advanced placement courses. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for a successful college career by instituting challenging courses and motivating students to develop high levels of critical and creative thinking skills.
  • Does Seton Academy offer any financial assistance?
    Seton Academy is partnered with the Private School Aid Service (PSAS) to offer financial assistance up to $2,000 per school year to families based on need and the student's overall academic performance. Seton Academy also works with the LINK Unlimited Scholarship Program to offer incoming freshmen students financial assistance. Students accepted into the LINK Unlimited Program have to complete a six week summer school program and meet criteria before they are awarded the scholarship. There are also several small scholarships offered as a means of deferring tuition cost for students.
  • Will I be able to keep track of my son's/daughter's grades?
    Teachers post grades to Edline, an Internet program available for parents and students to track progress throughout the school year. Student's grades, homework, assignments, and project reports are posted every two weeks. There are also 2 Parent/Teacher Conference nights during the school year.
  • What is the average ACT score of students at Seton Academy?
    Students taking the ACT Exam have averaged a score range of 19, which does qualify some students for college scholarships. For the past decade 100% of graduating students have been accepted to college. The class of 2008 recieved over 2.7 million dollars in college scholarships.
  • What resources are available to my son/daughter during the school day?
    Students in need of tutoring can meet with teachers or student tutors in the morning, during study halls, or after school. The Technology Resource Center (TRC) is open daily from 7:30am - 3:00pm. Students can print projects or papers from anywhere in the building to pick up in the Library. Students in need of laptop repair can visit the TRC during daily school hours.
  • How can my son/daughter complete their service hours requirement?
    There are many service opportunities available to students in and out of school. Students can complete service hours working in such departments as the Office of Institutional Advancement or the Athletic Department. Students can also visit their local church or place of worship and volunteer. Students also visit soup kitchens and other community places in completing their service hours. ***All hours need to be documented and signed by the appropriate moderator and turned into the Service Hour Coordinator, Ms. Georgette Olson.
  • How can my son/daughter get involved in extracurricular activities?
    Students can join team sports by attending tryouts and maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA during the season. Weekly grade checks are issued for every athlete during the competing season.   • What can I do to help prepare my son/daughter for college?
    Seton Academy strives to help each student find and enter the college or university of their choice. Parents and guardians are asked to motivate their students to meet with the guidance counselors to prepare resumes and applications for college.
